Ian Stalter - Data & Cloud Engineer - AWS - GCP

I have 15 years of deep experience across front and backend developer work with an emphasis on security, testing, and automation. My goal is to partner with incredible founders and teams to make visions a reality.

For the past several years, I’ve worked with Securonix ($4b valuation after raising $1b from Vista Equity Partners here) in a role which has encompassed Development, Infrastructure, and Observability. Prior, I was a developer on the Apple Maps team, where I spearheaded a variety of projects on search and automation. Earlier in my career, I was with Hewlett Packard in China where I facilitated troubleshooting projects across a myriad of device types.

While at Georgia Tech, I received an M.S. in AI/Data Science and my master’s project focused on training a hugging face model to translate english to sql, and train on customer data. It’s the top program in the country, and I had the good fortune of attending courses with Prof. Joel Sokel and David Joyner where I learned about Analytics, Simulation, Deep Learning and other sophisticated technological innovations. My bachelor’s was at UC San Diego and spanned the gamut from developer work to new media including courses in Cognitive Science, Media Production and JavaScript.

I’m particularly intrigued by new security technologies, horizontal and vertical SaaS applications that are AI-enabled, and the broader productivity thematic.
